Ann Crockett has immersed herself in opportunities to engage with others, apply what she has learned and enjoy the journey.

Jamar Root ’22 was invited to do a senior internship at the prestigious organization Destination DC, as part of the Tourism Diversity Matters’ Diversity Apprenticeship Program. He sat down with distinguished STHM alum Sherman Neal II ’20—an attorney, marine corps veteran, college football coach and higher ed leader—to talk about career choices and finding a meaningful path.

This April the Sport and Governance Association held the third Temple Sport Business Conference. Ater a two-year hiatus and the last-minute cancellation of the 2020 conference, SAGA returned triumphantly to host top industry professionals for a packed day of panels, interviews and networking. 

This year, Skylar Burg ’22, a Sport and Recreation Management senior, lived the dream—all the way to the Super Bowl. Hers is a story of initiative and drive, which landed her an exceptional internship with the Los Angeles Rams, and of how she’s seized every opportunity once she got there.
