The Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies in Sport, Tourism, Hospitality, & Event Management equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to become leaders in the fast-paced experience industries. This unique degree meets the needs of transfer students with diverse experiences and goals. Graduates emerge with a business-oriented skill set and are prepared to successfully lead the experience industry. Students learn aspects of the experience industry including management, risk management, diversity, equity, and inclusion, , marketing, finance and analytics. The curriculum incorporates the newest technologies and emerging trends coupled with essential business principles, helping students stand out amongst their peers.

Through class projects, industry-related hours and an optional internship, students apply their learnings to real-world situations and graduate with years of hands-on experience Students have the option of choosing a concentration in either sport and entertainment management, or, tourism, hospitality, and event management, or they may mix and match coursework from each discipline for a true multidisciplinary approach. Students work with an academic advisor to identify the courses that will best support their academic and professional goals.

Customize Your Degree Through a Concentration

We offer two concentrations that focus on specific areas of the industry to help students hone in on their interests. Whether students are looking to manage a marketing campaign for a sport organization or create an unforgettable venue experience, we have the tools to bring their vision to fruition.

  • Sport and Entertainment Management Concentration—consists of electives in sport and entertainment management and is designed for students interested in game day experience, sales and promotions, marketing, facility operations, and/or sport analytics
  • Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management Concentration— consists of electives based in tourism, hospitality, and event management and is designed for students that are interested in food and beverage, hotel operations, facilities/venue management, gaming & casino management, and/or event marketing.
