Financing Your Degree


The Master of Science in Travel and Tourism offers a “flat” tuition rate, meaning all students—regardless of state residency—pay the same tuition rate as in-state Pennsylvania residents. Please note that tuition rates are adjusted each year.

Tuition Details:

Tuition rates for each academic year are approved by the Board of Trustees and announced by Temple University Bursar’s Office every July. Review details on the Bursar’s Office website.

Course materials such as textbooks are not included; textbooks and course materials typically cost approximately $100 per course.

Note: Rates listed are for the 2021-22 academic year and does not include additional university or program fees. Tuition rates are approved and announced by the Temple University’s Bursar’s Office every July.





Applicants to the Master of Science in Travel and Tourism are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships based on academic and professional achievements. Students do not need to complete additional forms or submit additional application essays or recommendations in order to be considered for scholarships.


Temple University alumni receive a 5% tuition scholarship to the Master of Science in Travel and Tourism.

The deadline to apply for these scholarships for Fall 2021 is June 30, 2021.

Inclusive Excellence Scholars

This scholarship is awarded to those that exemplify leadership in the areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and who are committed to contributing to DEI efforts in their respective industries. The selected candidates will serve as DEI champions within their graduate program and will help to educate peers and advance their industry in this area.

Pathway to STHM Scholarship

This financial need-based scholarship is awarded to an incoming, domestic applicant from an underrepresented population demonstrating financial need who is looking to continue their education through a master’s degree in the field of sport, tourism, or hospitality. This tuition scholarship will provide an underrepresented high-need student with access to graduate education.
