Application Information and Deadlines

The School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) takes a holistic approach to every application. This means that every facet of an individual’s profile is considered when reviewing an application for admission. STHM does this to ensure every admitted student can meet the expectations of this graduate program.


HOW TO APPLY

The School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management utilizes an online application process. You can start and complete your application at your own pace through our Application Portal. Due to our rolling admissions process, we encourage you to apply as early as possible while space and scholarship funding is available. Applications are reviewed as they are received and can sometimes be considered after the deadline.

Fall Deadlines

  • December 15 – Early Admissions Deadline
  • March 1 – Priority Scholarship Deadline & International Student Deadline
  • June 30 – Final Application Deadline

Applications are processed as they are received. Late applications may be considered for admission.


APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Basic application requirements include:

  • Completed application
  • $60 Application fee
  • Official transcripts from all institutions at which coursework was attempted and/or completed
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • 500-word statement of goals
  • Current resume

GRE or GMAT scores may be requested based on academic or professional history.

International Student Application Requirements

International applicants are encouraged to review the Temple University prospective international student application guide and requirements.

Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a master’s degree at a U.S. institution, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums:

ADMISSIONS CRITERIA

To be considered for the Master of Science in Sport Business, individuals must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.0.
  • A minimum score at or above the 50th percentile on the GRE or GMAT.

The minimum requirements outlined above serve as the basis for evaluation. Decisions are made after all application materials are received.
