Dr. Lu Lu joined the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management as an Assistant Professor from Washington State University, where she earned her Ph.D. degree and served as an instructor. She currently teaches Food and Beverage Management and Marketing in Tourism and Hospitality.
Her research interests include consumer food & beverage decision-making and dining behavior, service marketing and customer complaining behavior, destination personality and travel decision-making. Dr. Lu’s research papers appear in leading hospitality and Tourism journals, including the International Journal of Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research, Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management, and Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, and more. She also serves as a reviewer for 10+ leading hospitality and business journals such as International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Business Research, Tourism Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, the Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Journal of Destination Marketing & Management, among others.
Dr. Lu’s research paper has received International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management 2017 Highly Commended Award. She earned the 2015 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad, sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. She also received the Best Paper Award at the 21st Annual Graduate Education & Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism; and Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award, for 2015-2016, at Washington State University.
Dr. Lu received both her Ph.D. degree in Business Administration, and her Master of Science degree in Food Science from Washington State University. She attained her Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Engineering from China’s Southwest Minzu University.
