Dr. Lindsey Lee is an associate professor in the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management and serves as Co-Director of the Center for Service Excellence. 

Dr. Lindsey Lee’s research work focuses on maximizing employee service performance while supporting employee emotional labor. Her research interests include identifying management and organizational practices to support employees, implementing emotional labor to manage difficult guests, and employee management training and development. Her work often integrates psychological and organizational perspectives to better understand how frontline employees navigate service interactions, workplace expectations, and career development in hospitality settings. Dr. Lee has been published in the International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research, and Journal of Business Research and her work has been recognized with the Outstanding Paper Award at the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE) Conference in 2020.

Dr. Lee is a Faculty Fellow of the Center for Ethics, Diversity, and Workplace Culture (CEDWC) and serves as an HR Track Co-Chair for the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE) conference.

Dr. Lee earned her PhD in hospitality administration from the University of Houston and holds a Master of Science in tourism and hospitality management from the University of Central Florida. Her bachelor’s degree in psychology is from Emory University.
