Christine Cleaver is an award-winning educator, industry expert, and event and entertainment management leader. As an Associate Professor of Instruction in Event and Entertainment Management, she is dedicated to shaping the next generation of industry professionals through experiential learning, curriculum innovation, and industry integration.
With over two decades of experience in event production, marketing, and leadership, Professor Cleaver has managed full-service event and entertainment organizations, led strategic marketing and public relations initiatives, and cultivated strong industry-academic partnerships. Her expertise extends across experiential learning, program development, curriculum design, and AI applications in event management.
Christine serves as the faculty advisor for Temple’s Event Planning Association (EPA) and plays an active role in industry organizations, including the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of PCMA, Hospitality Internships Inc., and the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association.
Her contributions to academia and the industry have been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Finalist for PCMA Visionary Awards – Impact (2025), PCMA PHL Leadership Award (2024), Finalist for the PRLA Spirit of Hospitality Outstanding Industry Trainer/Coach Award (2024, Faculty Senate Outstanding Faculty Service Award (2023), STHM Excellence in Teaching Award (2021), and STHM Adjunct of the Year Award (2017).
