Bitman Family Endowed Scholarship

The Bitman Family Endowed Scholarship is given annually to an outstanding junior or senior in Sport and Recreation Management with financial need and who plans to pursue a Master of Science in Sport Business at Temple University. Additionally, a strong emphasis will be placed on community service when selecting the recipient. Eligible candidates are selected by a committee appointed by the Dean. Candidates who are planning to pursue a Master of Science in Sport Business at Temple University are identified from the junior and senior classes.

The Bitman Family Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Aaron, SBM ’55, Doris and John Bitman in memory of their beloved son and brother, David. David was an athlete who loved sports both on and off the field. He was also extremely community minded with joy and enthusiasm for life. This scholarship honors David’s memory and celebrates his life. This scholarship has truly made a difference in the lives of students who have received it.

What will a gift to STHM support?

That’s YOUR choice! Your contribution can be designated to any STHM department, program, or scholarship, such as the STHM Alumni Association Scholarship. You can give at any level. What is important is that you get involved at a level that is meaningful to you.
