Dr. George Diemer is an Assistant Professor of Instruction at Temple University in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management. He is a sport economist and holds degrees from LaSalle University and Temple University. After receiving his Ph.D. in Economics from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Dr. Diemer went on to teach courses at Temple University and Chestnut Hill College. His research focuses on sport economics with an area of specialty in the gambling markets as they relate to financial institutions. Other interests include constructing and testing non-parametric probability density functions as a means of corruption investigations. He has been published in The American Economist, International Journal of Sport Finance, The Journal of Sports Economics and The Journal of Gambling Business and Economics.
