The School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) knows communication is important for a successful transition to college. We strive to provide you with information and tools to navigate within the university community.
Temple University will communicate via email with your student directly. Your student can designate a family member as a FERPA-waived contact for a university official to disclose academic information.

Students commonly grant family members proxy access to their personal information. Students can set up multiple proxies, granting each different access depending upon who they are.

That said, the STHM has ways to regularly communicate with parents and families.
We recommend that you subscribe to the STHM Update, a monthly newsletter with select articles and events of special interest to prospective and current parents. Read a recent issue.
