Dr. Moonsup Hyun is an instructor in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University.

Hyun’s research interests include sport and business analytics, behavioral economics in sport, sport fan/participant behavior, big data analytics, data mining and machine learning. His research has been published in a number of top-tier journals, including Sport Management Review, Managing Sport and Leisure and the Journal of Sport Management.

He has presented his findings at conferences such as the North American Society for Sport Management, the Sport Marketing Association and the Academy of Leisure Sciences. Hyun has also received several grants and awards for his work. He was the finalist for the 2020 NASSM Student Research Competition and he received a Dissertation Completion Grant from Temple University.

Prior to joining academia, he worked as an International Sales and Marketing Associate for Samsung.

Hyun received his PhD in Business Administration from Temple University’s Fox School of Business. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human ecology with a minor in economics at Yonsei University and a master’s degree in sport management at Seoul National University.
