STHM Annual Career Fair

Each year the School and the senior student body provide professional networking opportunities for underclassmen. During the fall semester in the month of November, a Career Fair is produced.

The STHM Career Fair is a special event which invites the Sport, Recreation, Tourism and Hospitality business community to Temple University for a full morning of industry contact. Each company/agency vendor has the opportunity to have a booth set up which allows students to approach them with questions about the industry. The primary purpose of this event is to expose our entire student body to professional opportunities that exist within the corporate structure. The goal of the company/agency is to give professional advice, alert students about internship opportunities, provide knowledge of the various positions available within their specific industry focus, and develop knowledge about the present and future student workforce. The role of the student is to begin to understand segments of the industry, develop confidence and public speaking skills, develop professional etiquette behaviors, and find volunteer and/or internship positions related to their specific area of concentration.
