Tourism and Hospitality Marketing

The Tourism and Hospitality Marketing concentration in the Master of Tourism and Hospitality Management program allows experienced industry professionals to capitalize on their operational knowledge of the hospitality sector and apply it to issues confronting executive decision-makers within the industry.

With a competitive global landscape, evolving consumer preferences, and advancements in technology, the tourism and hospitality industry is changing at a rapid pace. This has significant implications for effective marketing decision making, and The Tourism and Hospitality Marketing concentration is designed to explore the unique and diverse marketing challenges presented to organizations in this industry.

Our graduates are at the forefront of building sustainable and market-responding organizations in tourism and hospitality. Students in this concentration have experience in the tourism and hospitality industry because of an undergraduate degree in a similar or related field, or having worked extensively in the industry. This concentration is designed for those who want to pursue a career in tourism and hospitality marketing, and students are encouraged to choose electives and an internship or project that focus on the development of these skills.

Our graduates are fully prepared to work full-time for a tourism or hospitality organization in a marketing related position immediately upon graduation.

Our flexible, 18-month schedule offers all courses after 5 p.m., allowing students to keep or take on full-time employment, or to pursue internships and assistantships
during the day.

Students are required to complete an internship or project over the summer months. Students can, however, take courses at their own pace and design an individualized graduation plan with their advisor.
