Internship opportunities
STHM’s comprehensive internship program is one of the most important reasons our degree programs are nationally recognized. Internships are a student’s gateway to the job market. Not only do internships give our students a head start on their chosen career path, but they also demonstrate to prospective employers our students’ commitment and dedication to a specific career concentration.
The STHM internship program provides an integration of academic study with practical work experiences and on-the-job training. Practical experience is essential preparation for Tourism, Hospitality, Sport, and Recreation professionals. This is why supervised internships are part of every program study. Internship (paid or non-paid) assignments are chosen by students in consultation with facility advisors in accordance with the student’s interests, abilities, and career objectives.
