Dr. Lu Lu joined the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management as an Assistant Professor in 2016 from Washington State University, where she earned her Ph.D. degree and served as an instructor.
Her research interests include consumer behavior in consuming sustainable food and wines, culture and tourists’ destination experience, and service management and marketing. Dr. Lu’s research papers have been published in leading journals, including the International Journal of Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research, Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, and more. She also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Journal of Destination Marketing & Management, among others.
Dr. Lu earned the 2015 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad, sponsored by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. She also received the Best Paper Award at the 21st Annual Graduate Education & Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism; and Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award, for 2015-2016, at Washington State University.
Dr. Lu received both her Ph.D. degree in Business Administration, and her Master of Science degree in Food Science from Washington State University. She attained her Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Engineering from China’s Southwest University for Nationalities.
