Dr. Seul Ki Lee has 11 years of academic and industry experience at organizations ranging from the Korea Nuclear International Cooperation Foundation, to the U.S. Army, to Purdue University, where he recently completed his PhD in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

At Purdue, Dr. Lee has specialized in hospitality real estate economics and finance. His research interests include real estate valuation and pricing of hotels; application of spatial econometric methods to hospitality and tourism data; financial, risk, and strategic management of lodging and other hospitality firms; perception on revenue management and related game-theoretic decision-making; and time-series analysis and forecasting on the supply and demand of hospitality and tourism products.

Dr. Lee has had 10 journal articles in print, in press or accepted, and another two articles under review. His 10 refereed conference presentations have included "Spillover of promotion: Spatial dependence among Atlantic City casinos," which was nominated for a Best Paper Award.

Dr. Lee is in the process of completing two research projects, one of which explores the effect of price discounts among hotels that are neighbors in terms of geographic and/or quality distances.

Dr. Lee has won numerous awards, including the Frederick N. Andrews Fellowship, CETA Teaching Award and the Beaulah Gillaspie Outstanding Maste's Student Award. He is a member of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education, the Asia Pacific Tourism Association and the Golden Key International Honour Society. He has served as a reviewer for Tourism Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, the 2011 Tourism Sciences Society of Korea's International Tourism Conference, and the 17th annual Graduate Education and Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism.

Dr. Lee earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at Sejong University in South Korea. He received his Master of Science from Purdue's School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, where he also earned his PhD.
