The deadline for applying for August 2013 graduation is June 1, 2013.
The date printed on the diploma will be August 30, 2013.
All undergraduates and graduates are required to apply for graduation online. The graduation fee is no longer required. To access the application, log into TUPortal and select Self Service Banner (SSB). Once in Self Service Banner, Student Tools -- Apply to Graduate.
- All undergraduates in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management receive the Bachelor of Science Degree.
- Master's students in the Sport and Recreation Administration degree program receive the Master of Education degree.
- Master's students in the Sport and Recreation Management program receive the Master of Science degee.
- Master's students in the Tourism and Hospitality Management degree program receive the Master of Tourism and Hospitality Management degree.
Undergraduate Students
Latin Honors
The University has changed the criteria for students graduating with Latin
Honors, effective May 2009. For information: http://www.temple.edu/registrar/students/graduation/honors.asp.
Master's Students
Please keep in mind that graduate students are required to register for at least 1 credit in the semester in which they are graduating. Students planning to graduate in January MUST be registered for the fall semester. May graduates MUST be registered for the spring semester, and August graduates MUST be registered for either of the Summer Sessions.
All master's theses must be completed and submitted to the Graduate School by August 5, 2013, in order to be eligible for August 2013 graduation. (Theses for May 2013 graduation must be submitted by May 6, 2013.)
Doctoral Students
Students in the PhD/BA in Tourism and Sport degree program should contact The Fox School of Business and Management for graduation information and deadlines.
Petition to Walk
Students who have not yet completed all degree requirements may wish to participate in the graduation ceremony. These students must be within two courses (a maximum of 8 credits) to petition for participation. Please see the attached document for the guidelines under which students may be allowed to participate. Petition to Walk at Graduation
