The Center for Student Services (CSS) encourages a collaborative relationship between advisor and student, ultimately empowering the student to make sound and responsible decisions concerning his or her education from the point of admission to the School to the time of graduation. The student takes an active role in the utilization of the services offered by the School, and the University at large, while admissions officers, the academic advisors, and program managers strive to assist the student with his or her academic and pre-professional needs.
The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management’s Admissions Unit provides personalized service to prospective undergraduate and graduate students as they navigate the admissions and enrollment process. Meanwhile, the Advising Unit provides individualized information on placement exams and results, majors, minors, course sequence and load, scheduling, career planning, and academic resources to students matriculating in the School’s undergraduate and graduate programs. As a result, all students are better equipped to make well-informed decisions regarding their futures.
