Students in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) should declare a concentration to acquire additional skills on specific aspects of the industry. Core classes in STHM (i.e. STHM 1113 Foundations of Leisure) provide you with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in sport, recreation, tourism, and hospitality.
The development of these specific competencies, combined with internships and industry-related hours, make students a very marketable new employee. On the day of graduation, you will have knowledge, skills, and experience that very few other graduates will have within your preferred area of the industry.
Students in either the Sport and Recreation Management program or Tourism & Hospitality Management programs at Temple University are required to complete twelve (12) credits of major electives and are free to choose from any of the courses below.
