Below are advising options made available by the Center for Student Services.
The Center for Student Services staff is here to assist students and support them throughout their academic careers. Students can make an appointment to meet individually with an advisor using the “Make an Appointment Online” button, below.
Prior to meeting with an advisor, students are encouraged to independently seek answers using the STHM webpages, the Undergraduate Bulletin, departmental websites, etc. Additionally, the Student Services staff urges students to come to their advising appointment prepared with questions, concerns, any relevant documents, etc.
Make an Appointment Online
Electronic Group Advising (e-Group Advising) is a key component of every STHM student’s advising experience. This form of advising occurs each fall and each spring in the weeks prior to registration. At Group Advising, the Student Services staff is able to ensure that each STHM student receives pertinent curriculum and policy information along with important announcements and updates.
Successful completion of the e-Group Advising session each fall and spring is mandatory for all STHM students until s/he is registered for STHM 4112 Senior Professional Development Seminar or STHM 4185 Internship II. Students that are required to attend but do not are not able to access Individual Advising during the registration period.
Evening and Saturday Advising for Fall 2017
The Center for Student Services provides advising opportunities for students with schedules more conducive for the evening and Saturday. Details are forthcoming.
Through Cisco WebEx, interactive online advising is available for those with schedules not conducive to the general main campus population. View and share documents as well as communicate with an Advisor at your convenience! Virtual Advising is by appointment only, using the STHM Appointment System. Students must select the Virtual Advising option when available. For details on how to WebEx, go here.
Please note that you will receive an WebEx invitation, via e-mail(to Temple University e-mail accounts only), ten (10) minutes prior to the start time of your booked your virtual appointment.
Walk-in Advising for Fall 2017
The Center of Student Services (CSS) offers STHM students’ the flexibility to walk-in for advising on certain days and times. Students choosing this option will be able to receive advising without an appointment on a first-come, first-served basis.
To accommodate demand, students’ are limited to 10 minute time periods during walk-in hours. Students’ who know they will need more time are encouraged to use the Make an Appointment Online option.
Please review this flyer for general walk-in advising current days and times. Students that cannot utilize the walk-in sessions designated for them can still attend the other options available. However, it is highly recommended that you use the walk-in advising option designated for you.
