“You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.”
— Woodrow Wilson, 28th president of the United States
The School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) at Temple University prepares industry leaders who are inclusive and sensitive to gender, race, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation. STHM prides itself on a diverse student body, and our faculty and staff continuously emphasize the importance of inclusion to create a school-wide culture of openness — and opportunity.
At STHM, inclusiveness also means providing an affordable education that is open to qualified students of varied socioeconomic backgrounds. We want STHM to be a gateway to broader thinking, including exposure to global political and social issues. Our students should feel comfortable with who they are and free to express their concerns and opinions. They should also expect to be challenged.
This page seeks to showcase the incredible diversity and inclusion at STHM, ranging from our students, alumni, and faculty to professional associations and industry partners. This mosaic — with its assortment of people and perspectives — illustrates how many people have contributed to the mission, vision and growth of our school. We thank you.
