Nick Pytel, a native of Philadelphia and a 2001 graduate of Temple University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Management has worked in the Hospitality Industry in the area of Sales & Marketing for over ten years. He started his career at the Melrose Hotel in New York City where he was trained as a sales consultant and developed corporate and local accounts to maximize revenue and sales.
Following his career path from New York City, he travelled throughout Eastern Europe and Canada as a Quality Assurance Consultant where he evaluated and measured compliance levels for brand identity and other key attributes designated by clients and designated hotel brands.
He returned to Philadelphia in 2008 to work as Sales Manager at The Hilton Inn at Penn, working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing. Nick was an integral part of increasing the corporate client base.
In Oct 2010, Nick moved to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS), the first increasing ticket sales for the renowned PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, the largest flower show in the country attracting over 260,000 visitors a year. Within the first year, he raised over $640,000 (25% increase) in group ticket sales revenue. Later that year he was promoted to Business Development Manager and most recently has been promoted to Associate Director of Business Development, where he is overlooking the Business Development Department in the areas of fundraising, marketing and public relations.
